I could not imagine a better project to break the posting hiatus of last month. Iceberg is a quarterly publication designed for KAE and its purpose was to act as a voice for KAE to communicate opinion, discoveries and achievements, while establishing a tone of quality not usually achieved in a standard newsletter or online blog format.
London-based multidisciplinary design studio SocioDesign were responsible for naming, designing and producing the newspaper, which is editorial design at its best. Unpretentious, effective, aesthetically and visually pleasing, it maintains that fine balance between modernity and tradition. The black and white printing gives it a specific gravity, while taking away nothing from the 'beauty' of the layout. Bold and lovely type, lots of lines and beautiful photography. Love at first sight indeed.
