As if I wasn't already thinking about moving to Copenhagen, the work from this design agency makes it this much easier to click on that 'book now' button. Bolaget means company and the simplicity of the name also underlines their work: simply effective, appropriately bold and playfully creative, their publications and catalogue work is outstanding and it makes it really hard to just pick a few examples to post.
Founded in 2002 by Claus Due, the studio works "at the intersections of art, fashion and culture, with a strong belief in conceptual thinking and original ideas to design bespoke solutions for every assignment, regardless of the actual project scale." They focus "mostly on printed matter, with great attention to detail and tactile finishing", which can be seen in pretty much every project. Personal favourites: the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art catalogue, the identities for The Danish Shipowners' Association and the KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art as well as the newspaper and merchandise for cultural venue Faengslet.
