I have no idea how or where I came across this project, but I'm so glad I did because I think it's the definition of the 'Love at first sight' series. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous; I don't know if they were already out there or created specifically for this project*, but they are so attractive and sleek and their monotone looks work so well with the colors of the text.
Designed by Colombus-based Karl Fekete, the ad campaign was created for a student project about rebranding a transportation company. The project is a series of posters advertising a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory style promotion to ride aboard the world's first commercial space flight. Fekete has some lovely illustration and lettering work as well, definitely worth checking out.
*UPDATE: Karl got in touch after reading this and here's what he told me about the images: "I did some digging around for the photos online, they were not created exclusively for this project. More of an exercise in art direction and layout than photography. I wanted to capture the nostalgia and romanticized view of space travel that was prevalent during the 1960s space race."
